I respeced my Vamp Scout this morning and have been having fun learning how to PvP with him. It is a change going to a range character to being melee, but I gained so much more control over combat. For example, a nation member and myself killed a group of CN in the hotzone without any trouble. I kept the priest on lockdown so he only got off 1 heal maybe two the whole fight.

I decided to make the change after Mark and I made new toons yesterday morning. We actually got them to r5 before we called it a day. Mark made an Irekei UA NightStalker and I made an Irekei UA Assassin.

I just need to buckle down and farm the materials for my weapons. My Assassin is currently wearing the full set of Vorgrim LA I have and my Scout is wearing his old Scout Leather. I am going to farm a second set of Vorg LA for him and finish off the set for Mark’s Bard.

In other SB news, a nation baned one of our cities and then tried to back out of the bane about 10 minutes before it went live. Actually one member from this nation keeps sending me tells on my toons. I don’t know what point he is trying to make but telling me I suck at PvP when he rolled my r2 on his r7 is no point. I logged on my Scout to fight him and he refused to meet me in the Strife Zone to fight. I did almost kill him today on my Scout when he went to Oblivion but he ran back to Aeldreth to get heals.

That is pretty much the jist of the past few days.

I also decided to remake my scout to actually support the type of weapon he is using. My original concept was for him to use throwing daggers but I decided to try using a bow this time. I have really liked the double bleed, double defense debuffs, the stun and the snare attacks I get. I don’t have to run as much to drop people since I have a large attack range.

Today was a fun day, I was only on for about 1 hour but that one hour was great. I was running from a safehold to a nearby zone to level my new scout. I got close to where I wanted to be and another scout popped on track. This scout was from Blood Clan, my previous nation. I sent him a tell as a ‘I know you are there’ thing. He replied back and I waited. I knew since no one else was on my track he wa going to attack me.

Sure enough he did, I hit him with thorns, blight and call lightning a few times. All while out healing his damage and never going below 50% mana. I got alittle worried when I got down to ~400hp. I was surprised that he stopped attacking me all together. I still finished him off and sent him a nice tell saying ‘bye’. He replied with a lol and said he knew he shouldn’t have attacked me. I told him he was correct and that now his guys are left undefended. It wasn’t long before they were being picked off by a thief.

So the moral of the story is: if someone isn’t near your group do go off and get yourself killed. If the scout had stayed back he could have prevented the thief from getting away with all of that loot.

It wasn’t until I got to the zone I was looking for that I saw someone on track, well it was 3 someones. lol All CN nation, form the same guild and begging to be killed. I went to the rune dropper first and didn’t find the guy I needed. Then a thought occured to me, maybe one of these 3 clowns has my rune. Well the only way to find out was to kill them all.

It wasn’t that hard, I was even shocked at the fact the r5 scout they had didn’t even flinch while he was dying, must have been a loot bot or something. The next one was a r2 wizzy, why would you bring an r2 to a r4 zone? It didn’t matter he was dead as well. Last was the r7 druid PLing them. I felt up for the challange, I sat not to far away in the open regening my stam. Giving him plenty of time for an evac and even a chance to recall himself.

Nope, he was still there and he was going to die. I put on my Rapid Shot and Percision then I went back for him stealthed. I def’d him down, bleed him, attack speed and attack damage debuffed and just went all pewpew on him. I alternated my bleeds, and def debuffs keeping him open for all my DPS. I even got my bow to holy proc on him. I don’t normally see that. lol He tried casting his usual crap an nothing stuck. Maybe he should try Percise stance against a def’r. I was laughing as his lighting bolt sank into the ground and his thorns missed. I think he even tried posioning me but that was still a waste of his mana. Once he died, I checked and no rune. I did get away with a Centaur MA-smith, a few random blues, 120k gold and a Tome of Recall. Wow I bet he wished he had looted that tome to get the heck out of there. lol
